Welcome to Gym Design Studio! I'm Oli the founder, and I'm thrilled to share my passion for fitness and design with you. With over 10 years as a personal trainer and the experience of owning five gyms, I know the ins and outs of creating the perfect workout space. I've custom-built each of my gyms from the ground up, ensuring every detail is just right—from the design and equipment selection to the installation. 1️⃣ How much does a bespoke home gym cost?
Every Gym Design Studio project is fully bespoke, so pricing depends on the space, equipment specification and overall brief.
As a general guide, garage-based home gym setups typically start from around £4,000, while fully functional commercial-standard personal training gyms can reach £12,000 or more. Final costs are determined after a design consultation to ensure the gym is built around your goals, space and training style.
2️⃣ What types of spaces do you design gyms for?
We primarily design bespoke home gyms, including single rooms, spare rooms and garages, while also delivering selected commercial and private training studios.
Most projects involve transforming under-used residential spaces into fully optimised training environments, designed to feel purposeful, motivating and built to last.
3️⃣ Do you design and install gyms across the UK?
Yes. We provide design, equipment supply and installation UK-wide.
Wherever you’re based, our process remains the same, from initial design through to equipment installation, ensuring consistent quality and attention to detail across every project.
4️⃣ Do you supply the gym equipment, or can I source my own?
We supply all equipment as part of our service.
This allows us to maintain full control over quality, compatibility and layout, ensuring every piece integrates properly into the design. Our approach avoids compromises and ensures the finished gym performs exactly as intended.
5️⃣ How long does a typical project take?
From initial consultation to completed installation, most projects are delivered within around 60 days.
Timelines can vary depending on design complexity, equipment specification and availability, but our process is structured to keep projects moving efficiently while maintaining high standards throughout.
6️⃣ Do you carry out building work as part of the installation?
We focus on gym design, equipment supply and equipment installation only.
We do not carry out building works such as structural changes, electrics or flooring installation. This ensures our attention remains fully on delivering a high-quality gym layout, correct equipment specification and precise installation of all training equipment.
